Is KT Tape the same as Kinesio tape?
If you’ve run a race, you’ve probably seen runners sporting strips of tape —sometimes bright, sometimes flesh colored—down their legs or around their knees. You might even know that it’s called kinesiology tape (or kinesio tape and even “ KT tape ” thanks to the popular brand for short).
Can you apply KT tape by yourself?
CAN I APPLY KT TAPE BY MYSELF? YES! It’s very easy and generally only takes a couple tries to get comfortable taping yourself. Any of the lower extremity applications (knees, shins, Achilles tendonitis, plantar, ITBS) can be applied by yourself easily.
